Love Actually

"Love actually is all around."
Love Actually was one of the first ensemble interconnected love stories kind of movies before movies like He's Just Not That Into You and Valentine's Day. There are too many well-known actors to count. I'm sure you'll recognize most of them. This movie is full of all different types of love stories; the love of husbands and wives, families, friends, children. There are happy affairs and sad affairs, true love and puppy love, reciprocated and unrequited love. People of all ages and situations. Some have happy beginnings, happy middles or happy endings. Basically, there are enough stories in here that everyone can relate to one of the situations. This movie takes place around Christmas, but the movie isn't really about Christmas. I think they just made it Christmastime to add to the general love theme of the movie, since we all know Christmas is when people get all sentimental and lovey with each other.I think most girls love this scene the most; when this guy professes his love for his best friend's wife on several poster boards. I'm sure all the girls love it because they wish a boy would do something sweet like that for them, but my favorite part is after he's finished his little presentation and is walking away. He says "That's enough." He had been hiding his feelings for so long, and he finally got to say (or at least have her read) what he wanted to say and now he's done pining for his best friend's girl and ready to move on.

For the most part, this movie has several happy endings, which makes it a cheery love-filled movie for the holidays, or any time of year. It's funny, it's serious, it's sweet, it's a little cheesey, but all-in-all a nice love-filled Christmastime movie.
