The Unicorn Hunt: Season 2 Finale!

I finally finished off Season 2 of The Unicorn Hunt! Ya, I did some major procrastinating/avoidance. I put off finishing videos that I'm just sick of, or when I'm just not in the mood to look at my own face. I finally decided to just use images from the Internet instead of my own drawings for PITCH, so that made it easier, but still tedious to edit. And then MAP was so much work filming, I was disappointed to see it's not even 4 minutes long. So much work, and it still sounds terrible because it was all outside on busy streets. OH WELL, it's DONE! ...Or is it...?

I still have ideas for The Unicorn Hunt, so there may be a Season 3 someday... But for now, I'm glad to have these done so I can just focus on Tish.TV and podcasts!

Don't forget to get your own Unicorn Hunting License! Happy hunting!

The Doctor's Companions Ep. 27: Ten's Companion Round-Up!

Everyone's back! Rose, Mickey, Jackie, Jack, Sarah Jane, Martha, and Harriet Jones (Former Prime Minister)! Jack brings Torchwood (the institute and the show) and Sarah Jane brings her son, Mr. Smith, and K-9 (from her show, which none of us have watched). The gang's all here to help bring The Doctor one second out-of-sync with the rest of the universe to find the Earth, Davros, and the Daleks. Things are a bit dangerous for a while, but then The DoctorDonna is created and saves the day!

The companions all go off to their happy endings. Well, most of them. (RIP Harriet Jones, Former Prime Minister) Rose's happy ending is bittersweet as she says goodbye to The Doctor but gets to live happily ever after with her own human-ish Doctor in her parallel universe. Donna, however, gets the most tragic end. No, she doesn't die or get dropped off in a parallel world to live out her life. She gets to keep living... as just Donna. Donna without The Doctor. Donna without self-esteem or perspective or an adventurous spirit... She has to forget everything about The Doctor and their adventures and being "the most important person in the whole of creation" and go back to being "just a temp" Donna. The most tragic ending.

Tuesdays with Tish (and Juliana): Friendiversary

This Week in the Movies: Nina, Gilmore Girls, Lilly Wachowski

Welcome to our first episode of 'This Week In the Movies'! We've extracted our recently watched/trailers/news segment from the beginning of each podcast and given it its own episodes! Between our regular (and irregular) episodes, you can keep up to date on what we've been watching, what we're looking forward to, and what's actually going on in the movies lately. That means our episodes will get straight into their topic with no small talk, just movie talk!
This first episode is a littler longer than we hope they will be, since we had quite a few things saved up we wanted to mention, future episodes should be under 20mins. (I say that, but, clearly, we can talk...)

The Doctor's Companions Ep. 26: Molto Bene! Allons-y!

Allons-y to one of my favorite episodes! It's molto bene! I love the suspense, mystery, fear, creepiness, and show of human nature in Midnight. I think it's a brilliant episode with everything that's great about Doctor Who (except the spectacular visuals, I mean they're on a bus the whole time). Linda and Juliana are not so enthusiastic about its brilliance, but we all had a great time discussing it. And then we were glad to see plenty of Donna in the next episode, but found it so depressing! What a rough world it would be without The Doctor! What a great episode to show how incredible Donna Noble is, even without The Doctor. She's so smart and brave! This was a great podcast episode, so have a listen and let us know what you think about these episodes! And how sad are you already thinking about what comes next?!

In the Movies Ep. 20: 2016 Awards Season

You'll know from listen to our podcast that Juliana and I don't put much weight to film awards. We're more of the thinking that movies are art and art is too subjective and personal to be label "good" or "bad" or ranked or rated. Not that we don't acknowledge the vast amounts and variety of technical work that goes into making films. Like in the case of Carol, we could see that the movie was very well made in nearly every aspect, but we just weren't drawn into the story and the characters. "Technically good" does not mean everyone will enjoy it.

Despite our history of seeing very few Oscar-winning movies and refusing to give movies a quantitative rating, we felt we couldn't let this year's awards season go by unmentioned. We wanted to focus mostly on the Oscars, since it is the biggest deal in both the industry and the public's eyes. And because of that, its problems like #OscarsSoWhite (for the second year in a row) and lack of women and LGBT recognition are also big deals.

So, listen up as we discuss the Oscars past & present, who's voting for the Oscars, and how people of color, women, and the LGBT community fair at the awards, and in the industry.

The Doctor's Companions Ep. 25: Count the Shadows

No technical difficulties for this episode! And good, thing, too, because Juliana loves this two-parter so much there's no way she'd let the podcast episode go. Although, maybe she wouldn't have minded having to do this one again since she loves it so much. I love it, too! It's a great Moffat story about scary things in the dark and, most excitedly, the first appearance of my beloved River Song!

Aside from just loving the fun and danger of the story, we talk about River's and The Doctor's timeline(s), and wonder what River's cyber afterlife would really be like. I also have a slightly inappropriate guess at what the "only time [The Doctor] could" tell River his name. What do you think it is?

At the top of the episode, we answer the question of which Doctor we'd like to see have more adventures with River. Juliana and I are pretty sold on Ten, Linda's not sure, but we all agree that River and Nine would probably just hate each other! And our question for you to answer when we talk about the season finale with the Daleks and their creator, Davros, is; Who do you think is The Doctor's greatest enemy? Ooooh.....
