In the Movies Ep. 35: Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Separating the Art from the Artist

Tish and Juliana talk about Vicky Cristina Barcelona and separating the art from the artist with guest Breanne. Despite the male voice narrating and empty, archetypal female characters, we still enjoyed watching Vicky Cristina Barcelona. But how does the knowledge of the filmmaker's personal life (allegedly) affect our enjoyment of a movie? Can we, should we, judge art without influence of knowledge of its creator? How can one reconcile their entertainment with their morals? There's no right answer, but we enjoy discussing the implications.
